Thaxted festival - Claire Martin

Thaxted festival is a longstanding event that is held in a place of worship and therefore needed to be approached respectfully and with discretion. As the majority of the photography was taken in the church during live stage performances, it was important to look at the natural light available and also to discuss shooting mid-performance with the production manager and the artists. Capturing photo journalistic shot’s that evoked a feeling of the event in a sensitive and flattering way for the artists was the key aim.
